Where to get Compressor 4.7

Hello! Is there a way to get a Compressor version 4.7 installer from Apple? I absolutely need Blu-ray discs authoring, which 4.8 no longer offers. I'm on a M2 Mac Studio, Mac OS 14.6.1

The easiest way would be to restore it from your Tjme Machine - but let me guess… no Time Machine?

Apple only offers the latest version for the OS on your mac. I think that all macs that could run 4.7 also run 4.8, so you probably can’t get it from Apple (but you can get 4.6.* on a mac running Big Sur, probably). Another possibility is to just copy it from another mac.

Note for the future: always make a zip of professional applications before updating.

Hi! I know very well that a backup is essential! But this is a brand new computer, and 4.8 installed itself from the App Store while setting up. I never had, nor used 4.7 anywhere before. My previous computer is a late 2013 iMac, with version 4.4.8 of Compressor on it!

Besides, how one is supposed to know that Apple has quietly removed a capability without them pre-announcing it? This is pro software and they should offer some previsibility imho!

I moved my pre-existing version 4.4.8 from my previous computer to the new one, and it's working fine, so that will be it for now! Until an OS updade breaks it.

Anyone knows a direct way to chat with someone at Apple who may help? Their official automated system is having me in an infinite loop, with nothing helpful.
