bcc stopped working in Mac Mail

I have been using bcc in Mac Mail for years and now it just quit. The emails are not being received, even though the messages show up in my Sent mailbox.

How do you know they're not being received?

Are the recipients saying they never got the message?

Are you getting bounce back messages from the mail server?

Most importantly: have the recipients checked their spam/junk mail boxes?

BCC is one (of many) checks that spam filters use to categorize text. It may be that it's enough to be triggering your messages as spam and the messages are getting filtered.

This can be hard to diagnose. Have you included yourself in the BCC list to see if you get a copy of your own message? Not an absolute test since other recipients mail server/client may respond differently, but it may be a good starting point.
