How do I get whatsApp to run on the IMAC?

IOS apps do NOT run on Mac OS, IOS is a different operating system than Mac OS! Look in the Mac App Store for WhatApp and download WhatsApp Messenger.

In any case, it is better to get the Mac App if available.

WhatsApp is owned by Meta, and last I checked, they're not a Chinese company. WhatsApp is available in the App Store. And TikTok is also still available for iPhone in the App Store, so, it's unclear what you mean when you say "disavowed".

It's up to Meta to make a version of WhatsApp for the Mac. Apple has no control over that.

WhatsApp runs on my Mac, and is available in the Mac App Store. It requires WhatsApp to be installed on an iPhone, and piggybacks off the iOS version of WhatsApp.
