my iPhone 15 pro 256 gets crazy hot and draining battery rapidly during video calls.!!! I’m super unhappy and already thinking about leaving iPhone for good. My battery health is 97% . Also during charging gets that hot so it’s very uncomfortable to hold in my hands.
apple says this is no issue unless the battery health is under 80%. What a waste of money 🤬

Your phone has a built in temperature sensor that will automatically shut off if the phone gets too hot and is outside the acceptable temperature range. If you have not seen the screen that tells you the phone is too hot and must be shut down, then it is working correctly. The battery is a consumable and is supposed to go down. It is expected that on average you will see it drop about 1% per month. You were correctly advised that nothing is wrong with your battery and there is no issue unless the battery health is under 80%.
