Can the back of an iPhone 11 Pro Max be fixed?

The oldest glass back iPhone which can have the glass replaced is iPhone 12. For an iPhone 11, they'll offer an out of warranty replacement, which as Bob Timmons suggests is expensive.

If it was me, I would NOT spend $599 on an iPhone 11 Pro max. I'd invest the money in a new iPhone.

It's expensive......about $600. I'm not sure whether the phone is really repaired or whether Apple will replace the phone with a refurbished product.
