Apple Pencil 2nd Gen Damaged Tip Repair

I bought my iPad Air 5th Gen and my Apple Pencil 2nd Gen at the same time in March 2023. I’ve had 0 issues with either until April/May 2024, weirdly almost exactly a year after I bought both items, just after the end of the warranty.

I started to encounter some issues with the tip of the pen not being detected by the screen while doing my usual school work. The iPad detects the pen and when I put it against the magnet it tells my the battery percentage. From my researches I do not think that it is related to the pen battery not working properly.

I updated my iPad to IOS 17.6.1, restarted it, activated and deactivated the Bluetooth and the tip is still not being recognized when I’m trying to write. I tried to write with the official apple tip and I also bought some new ballpoint tips that I screwed to the max to see if that was the problem…

I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t have any money to spend on a new Apple Pencil before the beginning of the new school year and the only video that I found on an “easy” solution to fix the issue is by destroying the entire pencil with a tool that looks like a saw, heating up the broken part, changing it and then replacing the plastic “sleeve”. Anyway I am in no way equipped to do this kind of procedure on this expensive tool.

Thank you for your help!
