Using DuckDuckGo and Apple Private Relay

I use Safari with DuckDuckGo as my default search engine on my IOS and MacOs devices. As I understand it, DuckDuckGo provides a certain amount of privacy protection while I'm browsing. Will I improve my privacy if I also use Apple's Private Relay?

Global Privacy Control Opt-In? Is there a way to opt-in to the Global Privacy Control that works alongside the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2020, and the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020? Is that necessary to be done with my using the Safari browser made by Apple? Am I already opted-in by default, or is there a specific setting that I can use to make it clear to ALL websites on the internet that this is my intention?

does safari automatically redirect content into a private tab? Does safari automatically redirect content into a private mode? for example if i am using an unsafe website to watch a football match and i am getting redirected to third party websites, does safari open those malicious third party websites automatically into private mode? Or do they open in new tab of the actual browser I was watching the match?
