I am unable to change the screen brightness on my MacBook Air

I open my mac and i cannot change the brightness on the screen. It is locked on the display bar.

If your brightness controls on your Mac are locked, it’s probably because the System Preferences ⇢ Displays ⇢ Presets option is set to a different setting than “Apple Display” or “Apple XDR Display,” depending on your device or model.
