Can a thief access my AirPods Pro in Lost Mode?

Can the thief use my airpods pro 2nd generation even in lost mode? Thanks

While the AirPods do not have Activation Lock, they do have a Pairing Lock when they are in Lost Mode. The same is true for AirTags. A person who finds them will not be able to pair them to their phone, so they will be useless. This can be seen in Find My when they are put in Lost Mode:
