If by any chance, your iPhone is an iPhone 5s, 6, or 6 Plus, you cannot update it to iOS 15. For those iPhones, iOS 12 is the end of the line. If you have one of those phones, and need to run apps which require iOS 15 or later, it is time to buy a new iPhone – preferably one that will be compatible with iOS 18 when it comes out.

If you have an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE (1st generation), 7, or 7 Plus, you can update to iOS 15.

You would need a newer phone than that to update beyond iOS 15.
