my apple watch 5 was paired till recently with iphone 15 pro max. Now it cannot connected. I reset it and followed all steps in apple but still nothing. So my watch now is on a pair mode and my iphone cannot even trace it.

Let’s, take this approach. Please do a forced restart of each device and attempt to pair the devices. Forced restart is much more than just turning them off and and on. If you’re not familiar with the process, please review the instructions in the Apple Support articles I linked below.

Please make sure both devices have at least a 50% charge on their batteries before proceeding.
See what they say at the store and then, if necessary, we can compare notes. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved. But if not, post back and let’s take another go at this.
What WatchOS version and what iOS version is your Apple Watch and iPhone on?
Sometimes you have to do it several times for it to work. Are all battery levels above 50%?
What country are you in? Are you near and Apple Retail Store? Have you contacted Apple Support team?
Both updated. Phone 17.6.1. Watch i updated before reset. Now i cannot see cause is blank ready to pair.

Yes both fully charged. I have been trying for two days. I cannot think of anything else. I may need to buy a new one.
