Chrome won't intall on my iPad 17.6.1

When I try to install Chrome from Google Play, Google only wants to install it onto just one device - my Android smartphone. I have Chrome running ok on my iPad, but I'd like to re-install as part of house cleaning. Am I doing something wrong?
