Replaced 2016 Mac with new Mac, and plugged HP D110 printer into Mac. Recognizes printer, but won't print, giving me a "Stopped. 'Filter' failed" error message. Would appreciate any ideas, as this has me stumped.

This usually happens when you install or upgrade to a newer macOS version.
You may be out of luck, I see hp hasn't made drivers since sierra 10.12!But see if restting helps...
