How can I recover an email I accidentally deleted?

I was checking my inbox for emails and tried to open one of importance. I swiped left on the screen but that caused the email to be deleted. It seems there is an extemely precise slide left to open or save or do something else with an email but if the slide is a tiny too much, the email is gone.

Is there some way of getting it back as this has happened on some very important emails.

In Mail, tap the “<“ icon (top left) to display the individual mailboxes and, for each of them, look for a folder named “Trash”, “Deleted Items” or something to that effect. If you find your email, long-press it and choose “Move” to move it back to your inbox.
