How can I unlock my iPhone X after being locked out?

Hello, I have just updated my iPhone X with latest update today, and after the update, ask for my passcode, but it won’t accept it, and keep saying passcode is wrong, and after so many attempt, I have now been locked out. I have used same passcode for the last 6 years. Pls help

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled or unavailable -


Click on the link for instructions on how to reset your passcode without a computer if you have iOS 15.2 or higher.

If you see a iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support


Click on the link for instructions on how to reset your passcode using a computer.

If you forgot your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support

Hello hope everything is well, here's some tips that might help you, and an article too.


  1. Restart your iPhone: Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the side button and either volume button until the power slider appears, and slide to power off, than hold side button again to turn on
  2. Use Recovery Mode: If that doesn't work we will try recovery mode, to do this connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes, (for macOS Catalina and later open finder) Than to put into recovery mode quickly press volume up button, than volume down in quick succession, than press and hold side button until you see the recovery screen(A computer logo) When your on the computer it should say if you want to restore or update phone, chose restore.
  3. If that doesnt work: If this doesnt work I would set up a visit to the store
