Calendar app shows holidays twice

This is not earth shattering, but it is annoying. The calendar app on my iPad is listing holidays and repeating days (like birthdays, anniversaries) twice. On my computer, iCloud shows my calendar with just my entries, no holidays or repeatable days. How can I get rid of duplicates on the iPad?

calendar searching past entries I know this has been asked before, but my iCal on iPhone is not searching entries older than a month ago, the suggestion is to turn calendar off apps using iCloud, delete then re-load calendar. Is that safe to do? It does not delete the existing data from iCloud?

Entries missing from iCloud calendar on PC browser Many/most of my calendar entries have disappeared, but are still visible on my iPhone. I can see the missing entries in the today’s calendar preview on icloud.com and if I go to the Daily calendar view. After I load daily view many of the entries show up again, but then disappear again when I click anything or when the webpage refreshes. Problem doesn’t apply to older entries before Today, and is particularly bad on one calendar set which doesn’t even show up on day view. I have cleared my cache and check my icloud settings, but the webpage can clearly access them *sometimes*, but it is very intermittent.

You have multiple calendars with holidays. Tap the calendar icon and deselect the offending calendar
