Persistent missed-call and voicemail alert, sound and/or light - Still no way to do this? Please submit a feature request!

The problem is:

  • When I miss a call, the only notification that persists is a banner on the home or Lock Screen. There is no "message waiting" light, no periodic sound that emits, nothing.
  • So I miss a call, and despite my every intention of checking for notifications and messages etc., I forget. I'm either too busy, tired or stressed to keep checking for calls every hour etc.
  • Once the call is missed, the notification gets bumped down the list by ones from other apps, and now unless I open the phone, check down the entree list, I don't see that I missed a call, that important, time sensitive call.
  • For many years, Apple customers have requested a persistent missed-call alert. But no dice so far.
  • The only step towards this has been the "Repeat Text Alert", which is helpful, only for texts, and it doesn't persist until canceled, only repeats a fixed number of times.

I've already submitted a feature request. ***I ask that you do it too.*** If enough people ask for it, maybe, just maybe, Apple will listen and endow the almighty iPhone with a feature that was popular on cell phones that pre-date it's market debut.

This is where you do it: Product Feedback - Apple

Do it today!

If anyone has a work around, please post!
