I was curious to know if there was a way to access the content on my Iphone11 after if fell in water and the screen went black. It displays occasionally but quickly goes back to a dark screen. Can I possibly access this with my Macbook and back up the items that I may have forgotten to back up before the incident? Because I have ordered a new Iphone now but i am not sure of what exactly is backed up on the old one.

Unfortunately, it is too late to try to back up the data on the water damaged phone.
Hopefully, the backup of the phone that you do have was not made too long ago.
This is like saying that your television is working properly but there is no picture.
If the phone has a black screen......it is not working properly.
You won't be able to back up the phone if it is not working properly.
How would you navigate on the screen to tell the phone to back up?
As a last ditch effort, you could connect the phone to a computer and try to back up that way. But, I would be amazed if this works.
The phone can't back up unless it is operating correctly. Hopefully, you have a recent backup of the phone on your Mac.
Ok Bob. Thank you for the info. When I checked my Icloud on my Mac, it showed me the number of images on the back up but I remember that my icloud stopped backing up (or rahther, said storage full) a few days before the incident and asked me to buy additional space but I forgot. I just purchased the additional space via my Macbook. I hope that would back it all up.
Yeah the phone is working properly. I can hear all the pings, my alarm went off properly, my messages came in. I can even speak to Siri. But the screen is all black
