Pages "page break" problem

Since the latest upgrade I have noticed that whenever I use the 'Page Break' pick that it gives two pages though there is absolutely nothing on the second page. If I then use 'Section Break" it leaves both pages visible. If I try to delete the second page, it defaults to the first page and deletes the 'page break'.

I have searched and can not find anything about this on the internet, Apple or Pages Help.

I have also checked both system and Pages settings with nothing found.

What's wrong? Can it be corrected?
