I try to apply the download to my watch but it keeps saying that is verifying and the system is not downloading it, please help! It stays checking for the update and the system does not download the ups date

Is the battery 50% charged or higher?
Your Watch must be on a working charger the entire time. Bluetooth and WiFi must be on and connected to the same network as the paired iPhone. Ideally the iPhone is on a charger and next to the Watch. Do not use a VPN.
Force restart both devices.Then start the download over. A forced restart is more than just turning your devices off and back on. If you’re unfamiliar with the procedure please review the information in the Apple Support articles I linked below.
