Card Verification Issue with Apple Pay Despite Bank Confirmation

I recently removed my card from my phone. When I attempted to add it back, I had to go through the process of contacting my bank for verification. Despite completing this step, the system still indicates that verification is needed. My card is verified by my bank, but it remains unverified on Apple's end. I have restarted my phone, deleted the Wallet app, and tried adding my card again, but none of these steps have resolved the issue. Apple Pay is an essential part of my daily life, and I need this matter resolved promptly.

It sounds like your bank needs to reprovision the card so it can be added. Your bank is either not sending the token or the token for the removed card is still on your device and needs to be removed by the bank before the new token can be added.

Apple does not verify cards. The bank or the banks Token Service Provider (TSP) sends a token to Apple’s servers, and when received, the token is added to the device. If Apple doesn’t receive the token, or if the old token is on the device the card (token) cannot be added to your Wallet.

Please contact your bank and inquire about the old token being on the device and also who is their token service provider. Apple does not have any of that information. Only your bank would know.
