I have got persistent horizontal lines appearing on my iMac 24-inch M1- 2021 screen, I took to the service centre and they told me to change the display and quoted a very high price. So my question is if I keep using it without changing the display will it get worse or damage other parts of my of my imac?

My 24-inch M1 iMac's display My 24-inch M1 iMac's display started showing horizontal lines the other day. How can I get it replaced? The warranty has expired, but will Apple still change it for free? I've heard this is a common complaint among M1 iMac users, and that Apple is replacing them for free.

Horizontal lines on Macbook Pro M1 screen I got these horizontal lines on my macbook after the MacOS 15 update. It seems to worsen progressively. It only occupied a small bit of the screen earlier. Now it occupies nearly 1/6th of the screen. It is of separate colours (Mainly green and blue) Any idea if this is a software bug (Like the idleassetsd bug) or if my hardware is defective?

This has been reported here already, this seems to be a somewhat common problem. No one has reported any damage from using this as-is.

Keep your eye here, Apple might make this a free repair if it reaches some level of occurrence.
