hey there is a way to do it byrequestingf a six digit two step code and then putting that code on the END of your normal password on the old device... so if your password is Password123! and your two factor cade is 567844 then on the password box you would put: Password123!567844

Apple's specifications don't stretch to equipment that old, but since they do not it would not be surprising if your iOS 17 devices are simply not recognized by Yosemite. Apple expects people to be running the latest OS version. They do extend support back a bit, but Yosemite is very old. You may have to update the operating system on the computer and possibly the computer itself. A general rule of thumb is nothing older than about 8 years.
You're kind of sparse on details such as which older devices, their operating systems, what you are trying and what makes you think it isn't working? Exact error messages?
