SPAM SIEVE STINKS. Am I in trial mode? Is Apple's spam filter just as good?

I just spent an hour reviewing the SpamSieve manual and I know I have downloaded the app but I cannot tell if I paid for it or I'm in trial mode. The manual says nothing about uninstalling the app or canceling the trial period. I've emailed C-Command with no response.

Does anyone know anything about SpamSieve? It's not in my subscriptions so it must be a 3rd party app. I do not like it at all. It's been troublesome to install and keep up with and now hard to uninstall it or know if I've paid for it and for how long. I get that I should know this but I don't.

Isn't Apple's spam filter just as good?

Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If SpamSieve is in trial mode, it will show a dialog box saying this each time you launch the app. You can also choose Purchase from the SpamSieve menu and it will show whether it’s purchased or how many days remain in the trial period.

The manual says nothing about uninstalling the app or canceling the trial period.

Section 2.5 of the manual is about uninstalling. There is no need to “cancel” the trial period; you would just uninstall the app.

I've emailed C-Command with no response.

We have not received any e-mails from you. You can reach us directly via e-mail at spamsieve@c-command.com or in our forum.

After making this post, it looks like you contacted our payment processor (Paddle) to ask whether your purchase was a subscription. They forwarded the question to us, and we replied to you. So, yes, you had indeed purchased SpamSieve, and it is a perpetual license rather than a subscription. If this is not showing in the app, you can enter your Serial Name and Serial Number from the order confirmation e-mail that we sent you into the Purchase window.

SpamSieve will catch more of the spams automatically and is less likely to put good messages into the Junk mailbox.

I never tried Sam Sieve, I use spamcop.net to reprt the spam & eventually get the spammers to remove you from their mailinglist, cost $15 to report oodles, it'll take a bit if you've always been allowing spam. Also if the spam includes PayPal the'll snuff them out pronto...

“Phishing” is an illegal attempt to "fish" for your private, sensitive data. One of the most common phishing scams involves sending an email that fraudulently claims to be from a well-known company (like PayPal). If you believe you've received a phishing email, follow these steps right away:

  1. Forward the entire email to phishing@paypal.com.
  2. Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.
  3. Delete the suspicious email from your email account.
