Safari stops loading web pages

Macbook Pro, Sonoma 14.6

fully updated

web pages just stop loading. I have tried reload, clean history, no extensions. nothing helps.

web pages half load or just stop working. I have to quit and start over only to have the same problem.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 14.6

I would first try and launch safari in safe mode. completely close safari. then press and hold your keyboard's "shift" key. while still holding "shift", launch safari, then test.

if that doesn't work, you can try and Start up your Mac in safe mode. once booted into safe mode, see if your issue continues. if it doesn't, then restart into normal mode and test again. sometimes a safe boot followed by a normal boot can resolve some anomalies.
