Ok so I have this iPad that is really OLD and the battery is not working like it’s supposed it turns off right when you take it off the charger it’s SOOOOO annoying I barely use it because of that so my question is how do I make the battery last longer?

As an alternative, an iPad 9th gen (2021-2024) new-old-stock / refurb is being offered for USD$199 from Apple, via Amazon.
A battery swap for an iPad Air 2 (2014-2017) will probably be cheaper than that, but you’ll still have an iPad Air 2 forever running iPadOS 15, after the battery swap.
Ok should I give it to Apple and see if they can fix it?
