Watch ultra 1 responsiveness issues

I have the first generation Apple Watch Ultra and lately I have been experiencing intermittant issues where the swipe motions on the touchscreen and scrolling on the digital Crown do not do anything.

If I lower my wrist, and do other things sometimes that fixes it.

I have the latest Watch OS 9 build, and I try to restart my watch weekly.

Is there a known issue with the latest Watch OS update?

I'm not against unpairing my watch and starting from scratch it's just I've never had a problem with it until recently.

My Apple Watch Series 1 has had its battery replaced, purchased in December 2016. My wife’s Apple Watch Series 4 needs a battery, was purchased in July 2018, and has basically been retired. My Series 5 was purchased in September 2019 and my wife now uses it. It had the battery replaced in 2023. I wear an Ultra 1 I purchased in September 2023.

Thats just one person experience and literally means nothing because it’s not a large enough sample of Apple Watch’s.

Apple doesn’t report such statistics, so I’m doubtful we’ll get any meaningful statistics.

Just be proactive and do a forced restart. You’re basically wearing a computer on your wrist. Have you never restarted a computer? 😀😀
