How do I download FX DocuPrint CM205 FW Printer Driver Version 1.012 for my Mac mini running macOS Sonoma?

Hi,

Since Fuji Xerox no longer provide the Docuprint CM205 FW Printer Driver Version 1.012, and my current install on Sonoma is corrupt, I was wondering if anyone can point me to a download site for it please?

All best,

Lachlan

The last driver support by FUJIFILM (previously Fuji-Xerox) for the DocuPrint CM205 FW was macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and the drivers for this long unsupported device are not available from the FUJIFILM site. Not for macOS, or any Windows platform. There is no Apple AirPrint support for this device either. Time to consider a new printer. One that is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint service for networked printers.

Several Google search sites allege to offer drivers for this device, but only FUJIFILM would be the correct source if they still offered compatible drivers and no drivers last written in 2014 would be compatible with Sonoma anyway.

Why do you believe that your Sonoma installation is corrupt?

Linux drivers appear to exist.

If necessary, this could possibly mean that there is a workaround solution. For example, the inexpensive Raspberry Pi print server described by Techguyuk for another printer at Can’t print with iPadOS17 - Apple Community. The idea here was to connect the printer locally via USB, and then make it available on a network in an AirPrint-like way. AirPrint printers as such can be used by macOS Sonoma computers (or iOS and iPadOS devices) without additional drivers/software. Look upon this as an experiment, though. It may or may not work with your printer.

Yes, that is the basic idea.

Techguyuk mentioned a Raspberry Pi 3 in connection with the workaround for a Kyocera laser printer.

Since no specific information about use with a CM205 is available, everything would be entirely experimental.
