MacBook Air (2018) not able to Mirror Screen to Apple TVs
Hello,
I am trying to mirror my MacBook Air (2018) model screen to either my Apple TV 4K (2021 2nd Gen) or my Apple TV HD (2015 4th Gen). The settings on both my apple tv's allow devices to mirror on same network. My MacBook & Apple TVs are on the same network & SSID. I checked the settings on my MacBook but couldn't find any that would block this. I did go to Air Play and turned on Air Play receiver and it has "allow airplay for current user" selected. Bluetooth is on MacBook.
I restarted my MacBook. And Macbook is on Sonoma and Apple TVs are one iOS 17.6.1 - all on the latest software iOS.
I click the control center and both Apple TVs show up there, and it just spins when I select one then I get the message in a pop up that says - Could Not Connect to Apple TV, and I have to click Ok.
It seems like it almost connects... I was streaming Spotify with video on Apple TV, and when I selected to mirror my MacBook, Spotify paused but then did nothing and I got the error message above. Also when I click connect to my Apple TV 4K, it actually turns on the tv in the room with this device but still does not mirror the screen.
Is it a security permissions for screensharing maybe?
