Pics attached. This translucen bar appeared on my screen after my mackbook over heated and shut down. I cleaned the fans and it's running cool again.
I am thinking it's a cable or something? the bar does not appear if i take a screenshot.

in the screen buffer inside your Mac, in the cables, and everywhere along the way, screen data are stored and transmitted as ROWS of pixels.
When you see an artifact that is very Vertical, that is almost surely a problem inside the display module itself.
Thank you i did not know they did a free assessment. I am willing to and can hunt down the problem and fix it if it comes from something that can be replaced cost effectively like the cables.
