Can I use Apple's emojis in an app I developed myself?

I am developing my own app, similar to WhatsApp, and I want to use Apple's emojis in my application. Is it legally permissible for me to incorporate Apple's emojis into my app? What are the potential legal issues or restrictions I should be aware of when using these emojis, and are there any licensing requirements?

Anytime time you develop an app that uses a standard Text Field, the user will be able to type all of the same emojis when the Keyboard pops up.

If you are looking to use the emoji, you can as long as it is represented as their Unicode character. This is explained the the Developer Guidelines:

  • 4.5.6 Apps may use Unicode characters that render as Apple emoji in their app and app metadata. Apple emoji may not be used on other platforms or embedded directly in your app binary.
