Threads and news quit working on iphone

The threads and news apps won’t open. News says it has no internet connection. Works fine on iPad but not iPhone. Instagram won’t open either.

News app will not load after update to ios 18.2 I recently updated my iPhone and iPad to 18.2. The iPhone works fine but the iPad has problems. It is a 7th generation iPad. When I try to open the news app the spinning circle just displays forever and the app never loads. I've powered off and rebooted the iPad 3 times but the app still won't finish loading. Originally the app store acted the same way but rebooting seems to have fixed it. Is there any solution to the news app problem? Thanks, Jim

Apple News not loading after iOS latest update on iPad gen 7 Apple News not loading issue can be resolved by total delete of news app then reboot iPad then re download news app it worked for me

Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.
