Why is my iMac hard drive not visible on the desktop?

I had Geek Squad repair my iMac (Sonoma, 2023 model). Everything seems to be working but there is no hard drive visible on the desktop. Last time they took 2 weeks to fix so I'd rather try this myself if possible. WHERE'S my hard drive?? Any help would be appreciated...

Does the system boot and run properly and it's just that the drive doesn't appear on the Desktop? If so, go to Finder -> Preferences, go to the General tab, and check the box that says "Hard disks".

If that's not the issue, please post back with more details about the problem you're experiencing.
