Apple Watch Series 3 starts to constantly reboot whether on the charger or on my wrist

A few days ago my series 3 Apple watch started to constantly reboot whether on the charger or on my wrist. It works for about a minute, then reboots again. I have tried unpairing, repairing, resetting, rebooting, on the charger, off the charger but despite my hope, I get the same result of constant rebooting. It will turn off and then when I turn it back on, I get a functioning watch for a minute and then the cycle starts over again. The watch is running 8.8.1 and my iPhone 7 is running 15.8.3. Often it gets stuck on the Apple logo for minutes at a time but is now not on long enough to re-pair.
