The volume of the timer on my iPhone is defaulting to extremely low volume

I have a iPhone 12 mini. The volume on the timer is defaulting to a an extremely low (almost useless) volume. I’ve confirmed attention aware is turned off, I’ve maximized the volume buttons on the side of the phone, and I’ve maximized the slider volume in settings

I have followed the suggested solution to no avail (this did work on my older model i-phone but NOT on the 14): Go to settings/sounds and haptics/ringtone and alert volume. Why is the timer/alarm volume so low on my iPhone? I’ve tried everything - physical volume buttons higher, slider bar in app settings is fully up, software up to date, restarted phone etc. the volume is loud on the “first” sound (using default radial tone) then dims to a level so low you can barely hear it (bad for alarm clock). Timer issues on iphone As of yet Apple has not found a solution in how to fix the problem with the timer. The timer does not allow me to change sounds and reverts back to radial (default). The timer is basically useless because even in default setting you barely hear it. Is Apple doing anything about this issue, besides advising the customer to force restart, which does nothing to resolve the problem.
