Why is my Apple Watch not showing monthly challenges?

Okay so I have unpaired, deleted and reinstalled both of the apps for the Apple Watch. But still I have no monthly challenge showing up for this month.

needless to say I’m a little peeved off, especially when my friends had earned this badge last month and I don’t even have the option to participate..
