iPhone (iOS 17.6.1) keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi for no apparent reason

There is a definitive bug in the iOS 17.6.1 OS that causes a iPhone’s Wi-Fi to sporadically disconnect (dropout) and then reconnect.

This occurs at the university library and at home.

The Wi-Fi signal is full-strength (3 of 3-arching bars representing a projected signal).

Environmental conditions include:

  • No VPN
  • Indoors with both a Wi-Fi modem and Wi-Fi repeater connected to that modem (home)
  • No RF

Does anyone know if there is a bug fix (patch) for this in the works?

Admittedly, there are several previous posts but I could not simply comment as they have been suspended.
