How to add a custom animated screensaver in OS Sonoma?
I'd like to add a custom screensaver to my MacBook Pro using the latest edition of OS Sonoma. How do I add an animated image (such as a .gif file) as a screensaver?
MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.6

From I have only read elsewhere
" The background mode can be enabled under "Screen Saver Options" in macOS. You can either open only one single GIF file or you can choose a directory that contains more than one GIF file. "
That process does not seem to work with .gif or animated files.
