MacBook M1 not recognizing photo cameras
Since I've upgraded to a MacBook M1 (Sonoma) there's no way I can make it recognizing my cameras (Sony RX100 and Panasonic GX9), the Mac is not mounting the camera as an external drive. Not even seeing they are connected!
I've tried with several other machines (Windows and Mac Intel) and there is no issue at all.
I spent hours with Apple support and they have no solutions. I've been to an Apple Store with my camera and tried to connect it to several different machines with several cables and adapters, no way... "Incidentally" they had a Windows laptop which immediately recognized the camera and mounted as HD.
Apple is clearly aware about the issue considering the amount of threads on Apple Forum, Reddit etc... How's possible they haven't come to a solution yet???? It's the simplest thing in the world, any 20 years old computer immediately sees the camera as an HD.
The solution cannot be: buy a card reader! Considering that many users have the same problem with external drives.
