iPhone 13 mini drops wi-fi connection, reboot sometimes help

My iPhone 13 mini drops the strong 5 GHz wi-fi connection in my home, even when it 10 feet from the wireless router and in the same room. After a reboot, it often finds the connection again, but then ends up dropping it. It also drops the 2.4 GHz wi-fi connection to the same wireless router.

I have "wi-fi assist" turned off.

The iPhone 13 mini periodically not only loses connection to the wi-fi in my home, but also loses ability to see ANY wi-fi connections. We live in an urban area, and there are always multiple wi-fi sources nearby.

We also have a iPhone 11 and two MacBook Airs in the house, and they have no problems maintaining connection to our wireless router, or tracking the neighborhood wi-fi sources.

I think it may a design issues that results in reduced interference rejection on the Apple iPhone 13 mini, but that is just a guess.

Any guidance?

Also, Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.
