To get rid of any dirt or lint in the charging port, do NOT use forced air. Take something like a wooden or plastic toothpick and gently pry anything out of the port.

If you use a toothpick crush 1 or 2 mm of the end of the toothpick with a pair of pliers to get more of a brush-like tip.

Or use an all-plastic interdental brush. Make sure there is no wire in it, like the G*U*M "Proxabrush". Stay away from those. They have a twisted metal wire to hold the bristles, which could short out some contacts in a charging port.

It's hard to tell from a photo, so shop for them in person in a brick & mortar store to make sure there's no metal in the tips.
