ITunes will not recognize an IPhone when connected

I've spent 2 days full time dealing with this issue. This all happened after I used my old IPod to add some songs to ITunes. Suddenly, ITunes will not recognize an IPhone when connected. I've accessed all YouTube related content and all web content in order to solve this issue. I've tried every conceivable suggestion (probably 20 in all), even taking compressed air to blow out the fire cable input slot on my IPhone. My Win10 PC system recognizes my IPhone but it won't show up on ITunes. Oddly enough it's not just my phone, it won't recognize my wife's IPhone either. I'm at my wit's end!! Heeeeeeelp!

Thanks for your response. Yes, I've tried everything (and more) that's listed in the referenced article. To your question on cables, I've tried two different IPhone USB cables (original Apple cables). I've also tried multiple USB ports. Oddly though, I have an old Win10 laptop and decided to install ITunes on it and try my phone there. It showed up on that laptop but the ITunes functionality was not working right. Very strange.

It could be a driver issue, and those can be very difficult to sort out on Windows systems. Or it's possible that antivirus or other security software is blocking the connection. Someone else may have suggestions, but right now all I can think of to try would be to uninstall the iTunes application and reinstall and see if that helps. If not, try temporarily disabling any antivirus or other security software and see if that makes a difference.
