Apple CarPlay

I am unable to play any media on my 2020 BMW 330i using CarPlay after a call. The media is playing but the speakers are still associated with the call. The only thing that fixes it is turning the car off and turning it back on. This is super inconvenient as I cannot do so while driving. I have experienced this on previous IOS updates as well and was fixed in the later updates but I started to notice it again from IOS 17.6.1 I have tried disconnecting the Bluetooth from both the devices and also “forget the device” on both the car and the phone. Nothing seems to be helping. Could you please help fix this.
