IPhone 12 Pro Max Camera keeps coming on and draining battery

My phone can be sitting, and the camera will just turn on. Other times I will be using an app, (No specific one) and the phone will switch to the camera on its own. As if I changed screens form the bottom. I have checked the double and triple tap in the settings, and they aren’t set for camera. I turned off the apps requesting access to my camera, with no solution. Any other suggestions are much appreciated. I also have rebooted the phone a number of times.

Thank you for your input. I did figure out the issue. It was my watch. The camera app was running in the background, and every time I would raise my wrist, the camera would turn on. I closed out the app on the watch and the problem went away. Cheers! 🤓

At this point I'd suggest restoring it:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

If the problem persists, you may have to try taking your phone back to factory settings:

How to erase all content and settings - Apple Support

If that still doesn't help, the phone may have a hardware fault. You'll need to contact Apple Support or take the phone to an Apple Store or service center for diagnosis.

Hope this helps. Regards.
