Mac OS 7.6.1 : what is a “CHK error” ?
Frankly, I’m not expecting an answer considering how old that OS is, but just in case !
To add more context, this is not an actual Macintosh, but rather emulation software (Basilisk II).

Thank you for that precious reply ! I suppose it’s taken from an Inside Macintosh volume. Those error messages are often cryptic… Do you know if the error codes are the same on OS9 ? Most notably error 2, because I’ve had problems with that one.
