The aforementioned IPhone, as well as the brand spanking new Sony car stereo, will not allow Apple CarPlay to work. Both the phone and the stereo have the latest (as of today, 4 Sept) software updates.

Error message says, “Cannot connect to Apple CarPlay. Check the connestion status of the GPS antenna when vehicle is parked.” Unit was professionally installed, GPS antenna under dash approx 4” forward to radio.
