Deleting "On My iPhone " files

I cannot delete on my iPhone files, every time I try to do it, a pop up window comes and it says, "The Operation Can't Be Completed.

Couldn't communicate with a helper application."

I don't know where these files came from, the folder has some 80k files consuming 3gb if my phone's space.

Kindly guide me. Attaching the necessary screenshots for better assistance.
