Apple Watch Series 9 Optimized Battery Charging

Why is the on/off switch missing for optimized battery charging on the apple watch series 9? (Version 10.6.1) Under battery health there is a switch for Optimized Charge Limit but not one for Optimized Battery Charging? My understanding is that they are not the same thing.

In the two weeks after I bought the new model, the Optimized Charge Limit feature helpfully (usually) capped the charge at 85%, accurately calculating that such a charge level would easily get me to my next charging interval. Then, perhaps triggered by traveling a half dozen timezones, I find the "Optimized" limit is rarely triggered. I realize this Optimized Limit is designed to be a set-and-forget feature—turn it on then don't worry—but I would still like to benefit from the marginally slower battery wear if I can figure out what I am doing that is preventing the "optimization" from activating. missing watch charging status Since the last update I no longer can see the battery charging status on my watch face when I have it charging, so I have to guess how long it needs to be on the charger. How to I get that back?

Apple Watch Series 8 battery life with watchos10.1 is terrible After the update to WatchOS10.1, my series 8 watch rapidly discharges its battery. And, it takes forever for it to recharge. I think there is a problem here.
