remove startup password iMac 24 Sonoma 16.1

Just recently started using iMac 24 migrating from a MacBook. Do not need the start up password, but cannot find the wording on searches to do this. Is this now called firmware security. Just need one thing: remove the password.

iMac 24″, macOS 14.6

I found this as turned off, but a faint message said Automatic log in cannot be used because FireVault is enabled.

yes, you can't do that with file vault is active. you will either need to use your password, or turn off FileVault. if you have a need for FileVault, I do not recommend turning it off just for the convenience of logging in automatically.
