Apple ID Services Using way too much data

I usually use 2-3 GB of data a month. And that’s if I used a streaming platform excessively. I reset my cellular counter every month as well to have a good over view and keep data off for most apps.

imagine my shock when I looked at cellular use today and saw it’s always over 1GB (the month started 5 days ago!!!)

and the highest usage was Apple ID Services.

What is that and how do I keep it from using data. This is a ridiculous amount in such a short span of time.

What device(s) are you using? I'm guessing an iPhone. What model? Is it updated to iOS 17.6.1? Or the latest one it can support?

Before you go turning off services that you have used in the past without this issue, there are other things you can try. Start by just turning it off and turning it back on again. Try logging out of your Apple ID and back in. You might also want to try resetting your network settings. Go to Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings. The only think you'll lose are saved WiFi passwords.
